Defense Programs Supported by ETI

Energy Technologies, Inc. (ETI) supports hundreds of defense, industrial, medical and telecommunications programs around the world in tens of thousands of installations. The following is a list of some of the defense programs ETI supports including program descriptions and links:

  • CVN-68CVN-68 NIMITZ Class Aircraft Carrier
ThetenNIMITZClass nuclear-powered aircraft carriers currently in active service comprise three-quarters of the Navy's aircraft carrier force. SinceUSSNIMITZ(CVN 68) was commissioned in 1975, these ships have been replacing our aging, fossil-fueled carriers on a one-for-one basis.
  • CVN-21CVN-21 Aircraft Carrier
The CVN 21 Program is designing the replacement for the NIMITZ Class carriers, preserving the core capabilities of the Carrier Strike Group, but with more flexibility to adapt to changing missions, and with reduced manning and maintenance to lower total ownership costs to the Navy over the 50 year life of each ship.
  • DDG-1000DDG 1000 Zumwalt Class Multi-mission Destroyer
Developed under the DD(X) destroyer program, ZUMWALT (DDG 1000) is the lead ship of a class of next-generation multi-mission destroyers tailored for land attack and littoral dominance. DDG 1000 will provide forward presence and deterrence, and operate as an integral part of joint and combined expeditionary forces.
  • DDG-51Arleigh Burke Class Aegis Guided-Missile Destroyer
The DDG 51 class is a multi-mission guided destroyer missile designed to operate independently, or as units of Carrier Strike Groups (CSG), Expeditionary Strike Groups (ESG), and Missile Defense Action Groups in multi-threat environments that include air, surface, and subsurface threats. These ships will respond to Low Intensity Conflict/Coastal and Littoral Offshore Warfare (LIC/CALOW) scenarios as well as open ocean conflict providing or augmenting power projection, forward presence requirements, and escort operations at sea.
  • LPD-17LPD 17 Amphibious Transport Dock Ship
The amphibious transports are used to transport and land Marines, their equipment and supplies by embarked landing craft or amphibious vehicles, augmented by helicopters or vertical take off and landing aircraft in amphibious assault, special operations, or expeditionary warfare missions.
  • LHA-6LHA-6 Amphibious Assault Ship
Amphibious Assault Ships are designed to embark, land and support Marine expeditionary forces for extended periods of time. These ships resemble smaller aircraft carriers and are capable of supporting Marine aircraft and landing craft.
  • SSN-774SSN 774 Virginia Class Attack Submarine
Fast-attack submarine designed to clandestinely: seek and destroy enemy submarines and surface ships; carry out land-attack missions; conduct clandestine Special Operation Forces missions; engage in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance missions; Mine Warfare; and Carrier and Amphibious Battle Group Support.
